UK Dog Sports Novice Class UK Dog Sports (UKDS) is a fun, fast-paced activity that blends elements of obedience, scentwork, and agility into one dynamic sport. This course is perfect for dogs who love to work, think, and move – and for handlers looking to explore something new, improve communication, and have fun without pressure to compete. 📅 Course Details Time: 6pm Location: Carmarthen Showground Duration: 6 weekly sessions Cost: £100 ✅ Suitability This is an active group class suitable for: Dogs aged 6 months and over Dogs who are comfortable working around other dogs Handlers who want structured, supportive training with progression ❗️Please note: This class is not suitable for reactive dogs or dogs who struggle in close proximity to others. We’d love to support you with more appropriate training – please contact us to discuss 1-2-1 options or our scentwork-based alternatives. What You Will Need: Flat Collar Lead: Non-retractable, no slip leads Selection of Favourite Treats: Bring four times as many as you think your dog will need; moist treats like sausages work best! Favourite Toy Clicker: Optional, but useful for training Dumbbell: For retrieve exercises Dog Bowl & Water Poo Bags Mat/Bed Note: Perfect Fit Harnesses, Training Leads, Toys, and Treats are available for purchase at the training venue. 🎟️ How to Book To reserve your space, click the Book Now button below. Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
