Tracking Foundations - 4 Week Course Tracking allows dogs to use their incredible noses to follow a scent trail left by a person walking across the ground. It is one of the most natural and rewarding activities a dog can do, providing excellent mental stimulation while building confidence, focus and independence. During this course, dogs will learn how to follow a track and develop commitment to the scent trail, working as a team with their handler to solve a scenting puzzle. What We Will Work On Dogs will learn to: • Follow scent from a scent pad • Keep their nose down and commit to the track • Work through turns and changes in direction • Understand the effects of wind and terrain • Indicate articles left on the track • Build confidence and independence while working No previous experience is required. Course Details Duration: 4 sessions Session Length: 1 hour Dates: 16th June, 7th July, 28th July & 11th August Price: £75 Perfect For: • Dogs that love sniffing and using their noses • Active dogs who enjoy having a job to do • Dogs that need mental stimulation and confidence building • Owners looking for a fun activity to enjoy with their dog • All breeds and ages are welcome **What To Bring** • A comfortable harness • A long line • High-value treats • Water bowl and water • Poo bags Class Guidelines Lead Requirements Dogs must remain on lead at all times while on the Showground unless instructed otherwise during an exercise. Designated Walking Areas Please walk your dog only in the designated areas and keep them on lead when moving around the grounds. Clean Up Please pick up after your dog and take waste home with you. Behavioural Concerns If your dog struggles with barking, lunging or reactivity around other dogs or people, please contact us before booking. We may recommend 1-2-1 training first to help set you and your dog up for success. Why Tracking? Tracking is a fantastic outlet for a dog's natural instincts and is often particularly beneficial for busy, energetic or easily distracted dogs. Many owners are surprised by how focused, calm and determined their dogs become once they learn to follow the scent of a track.

Cancellation Policy

ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
