Discover the incredible power of your dog's nose! Whether you're completely new to scent detection or looking to build on your foundation skills, this three-hour workshop is the perfect place to begin your scent work journey. Scent detection is one of the most rewarding activities you can enjoy with your dog. It taps into their natural searching instincts, builds confidence, strengthens your partnership and provides fantastic mental enrichment—all in a low-impact activity suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds. During this practical workshop you'll learn how to introduce your dog to the exciting world of scent detection through fun, reward-based training. What we'll cover 🐾 Hunting and scent games to develop searching skills 👃 Introducing your dog to a target odour (imprinting) 🎯 Building a clear indication so your dog can tell you when they've found the scent 🐕 Developing focus, confidence and teamwork This workshop is suitable for: ✔ Complete beginners ✔ Dogs already working at foundation level who would like to strengthen their skills ✔ All breeds and ages* ✔ Dogs that enjoy using their noses! *Dogs should be comfortable working around other dogs while remaining on lead when not searching. Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
