ClickStart Platinum Award Class Advanced Companion Skills 6-Week Course Our Platinum Class has been designed as the next step for dogs and handlers who have completed their Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and would like to continue progressing their training. This fun and supportive class focuses on advanced companion skills that are useful in everyday life whilst developing confidence, teamwork, self-control and communication between dog and handler. Platinum focuses on practical real-life skills that help dogs become reliable, well-mannered companions both at home and out and about. Skills May Include • Around an object • Fetch and delivery skills • Positions on the move • Food manners and self-control • Middle position • Stay with distractions • Delivery challenge • Back it up • Advanced handling and teamwork exercises Why Join Platinum? • Continue your training journey beyond Gold • Build confidence and teamwork • Learn useful real-life skills • Challenge your dog in a fun and rewarding way • Strengthen communication and cooperation • Develop skills that naturally support dog sports and advanced training The ClickStart Platinum Award Dogs who successfully complete the course may have the opportunity to work towards the ClickStart Platinum Award. The award is designed to recognise advanced companion skills and real-life training exercises that demonstrate teamwork, self-control and reliability in everyday situations. What You Will Need • Flat collar or harness • Standard lead (no retractable or slip leads) • High-value treats • Favourite toy • Water bowl and water • Poo bags Class Guidelines • Dogs must remain on lead unless instructed otherwise. • Only registered dogs may attend. • Please clean up after your dog and take waste home with you or use the bins provided. • Please bring your own water and bowl. • If your dog struggles with barking, lunging or reactivity around people or dogs, please contact us before booking as we may recommend 1-2-1 training first. Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
