Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (KCGCDS) Bronze & Silver Mixed Ability Class - 6 Week Course Our Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (KCGCDS) class is suitable for dogs working towards either their Bronze or Silver Award. Using positive, reward-based training, we focus on developing practical life skills, good manners and a stronger relationship between dog and handler. Whether you're looking to improve your dog's behaviour at home, gain confidence out and about, or work towards a Kennel Club qualification, this course provides a supportive and friendly environment to learn. Skills covered may include: • Loose lead walking • Reliable recall • Sit, down and stay exercises • Calm greetings around people and dogs • Settling quietly in different environments • Good manners around food and distractions • Handling and grooming exercises • Confidence building • Road safety and responsible dog ownership • Life skills for cafés, parks, shops and public spaces • Focus and engagement with the handler Dogs who are ready may have the opportunity to take their Bronze or Silver Good Citizen Award assessment. What You Will Need: • Flat collar or harness • Lead (non-retractable) • High-value treats • Favourite toy • Water bowl and water • Poo bags • Mat or bed for settling exercises *Perfect Fit Harnesses, training leads, toys and treats are available to purchase at the venue.* Class Guidelines: ✅ Bring your own water and bowl. ✅ Registered dogs only may attend the venue. ✅ Dogs must remain on lead unless instructed otherwise. ✅ Please use designated walking areas only. ✅ Please clean up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly. ✅ If your dog struggles with barking, lunging or reactivity around people or dogs, please contact us before booking. We may recommend 1-2-1 training first. Our Aim To help you develop a well-mannered family companion that can confidently enjoy everyday life, whether that's walking through town, relaxing in a café, visiting friends or simply spending quality time together.

Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
