Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award – 6-Week Course Our Bronze-level Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme class is perfect for building on your dog’s existing skills and working towards a nationally recognised award. This 6-week course helps develop everyday manners, reliability, and owner confidence – supporting responsible dog ownership and polite behaviour in public. What We Cover Each week focuses on real-life skills to set your dog up for success: ✅ Focus & Engagement – Boosting your dog’s attention and responsiveness, even with distractions ✅ Loose Lead Walking – Calm, controlled walking by your side in different environments ✅ Polite Door Greetings – Teaching your dog not to rush or jump at doorways ✅ Calm Around Others – Encouraging self-control around people and dogs ✅ 1-Minute Stay – Building patience and steadiness ✅ Reliable Recall – Strengthening your dog’s ability to come back when called ✅ Health Checks & Grooming Handling – Helping your dog feel relaxed during vet-style inspections 🎯 There will be the chance to take the Kennel Club Bronze Award test when the group of dogs are ready (This may not be within the one 6-week course). Who This Class Is For This course is ideal if you’ve completed: ✅ Our Puppy, Beginner, or 1-to-1 training ✅ Similar training elsewhere (space permitting – contact us to check suitability) What to Bring: ✅ Flat collar or well-fitted harness ✅ Standard lead (no flexi or slip leads) ✅ A variety of tasty treats (soft/moist ones like sausage or cheese are ideal) ✅ A favourite toy ✅ Water & bowl ✅ Poo bags ✅ A mat or blanket for your dog to settle on 🛍️ We stock Perfect Fit harnesses, training leads, toys, and treats at the venue. Class Guidelines: ✅ Dogs must stay on lead at all times unless instructed ✅ Use the designated walking area for pre/post-class toilet breaks ✅ Please clean up after your dog – bins are provided or take bags with you ✅ Only registered dogs may attend ✅ If your dog struggles with barking, lunging, or being around others, please get in touch for 1-to-1 support before joining the group – we’re happy to help get them ready!

Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
