Sniffer Dog Birthday Trials – Levels 1 & 2 Saturday 18th January – Carmarthen Showground £35 per dog per level (£25 for Sniffer Club members) We’re celebrating seven years of scent detection with ClickStart, and we’d love you and your dog to be part of it. These birthday trials are designed to be fun, welcoming and confidence-boosting, perfect for dogs who love to search and handlers who want a relaxed but meaningful trial experience. Whether you're stepping into trials for the first time or ready for a new challenge, you’ll work your dog through three searches with clear scoring and supportive feedback. LEVEL 1 – Ideal for Beginners 10.30am - Perfect for dogs who are still building their skills or new to trial environments. Includes: 1 Indoor Search 1 Outdoor Search Line-Up Search Hides placed at a sensible, easy-access height 3–5 minute time limit Helpful feedback from your judge LEVEL 2 – Ready for the Next Step 1.30pm - For dogs who have completed Level 1. Includes: 1 Indoor Search 1 Outdoor Search 1 Vehicle Search Two hides in indoor and outdoor areas All hides within one metre of the ground 5 minutes per area (3–5 minutes for the vehicle search) Scoring: Handlers and dogs are assessed on: Indication – recognising and communicating the target odour Area Coverage – searching thoroughly and systematically Teamwork – supportive handling without over-directing What to Expect on the Day: A friendly atmosphere Clear instructions and time to prepare A calm waiting area Short briefing before each search Scores and feedback at the end Rosettes and certificates for all qualifying competitors A lovely opportunity to celebrate progress, build confidence and enjoy a great day out with your dog. Cancellation Policy
ClickStart Dog Training – Booking Policy Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online. If you need a payment plan, please contact us before booking. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start date will be refunded minus a 25% administration fee to cover processing and preparation costs. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable, as spaces are limited and cannot usually be reallocated at short notice. If you or your dog are unwell, please get in touch as soon as possible. We may offer to transfer your booking to a future course or session at our discretion. If your booking starts within 14 days of purchase, you agree to waive the statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If weather conditions or other factors make training unsafe or unsuitable, we may postpone a session. Any affected classes or events will be rescheduled, not refunded. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be offered a transfer or full refund. Only kind, science-based or ethical training methods are permitted. Harsh handling, shouting, lead jerking, or the use of aversive tools (such as choke chains, prong collars, spray collars or rattle bottles) are not allowed. Please do not bring dogs who are unwell or contagious. Dogs who have received the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine should not attend for three weeks after vaccination, as it is a live vaccine. By booking, you accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and safety during all training sessions. ClickStart Dog Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property, dogs, or persons.
