Service Description

Canine Cognition Clinic With Georgie Armstrong – Endeavour Canine Events Hosted by ClickStart Dog Training We’re excited to welcome Georgie Armstrong, the only Ford K9 Cognition Instructor in the UK, for a two-day Canine Cognition Clinic suitable for all disciplines and sports. Based on research by Cameron Ford (Ford K9) and Brian Hare at Duke University, these cognition tests help you understand how your individual dog learns, thinks and solves problems. Georgie has extensive experience across multiple scent-based disciplines including Search and Rescue, Victim Recovery, pyrotechnics detection, tracking, and working with sport and pet dogs. What is Canine Cognition Testing? These structured K9 brain games help you understand: • Memory strength • Problem solving ability • Inference skills • Response to gestural communication • Laterality (left/right bias) • Learning style and decision making This helps you tailor training, improve performance, and better understand your dog. Suitable for scent detection, tracking, dog sport, gundog work, obedience, agility, pet dog owners and professional trainers. Clinic Structure Day 1 – Theory & Inference Testing Morning theory covering the tests and what they measure. Afternoon practical inference testing with dogs. Day 2 – Cognition Testing & Interpretation Morning cognition testing including memory tests. Afternoon interpretation and applying results to your training.
