Service Description

The KCGC Advanced Class runs The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (KCGCDS) at Silver/Gold level. It is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts that aim to provide handlers with a good knowledge and understanding of training their canine companion. The course will cover: Play & Engagement Road Walking Off Lead Heelwork Recall Away From Distractions Send to bed Stopping your Dog Food Manners 2 Minute Stays Handling and Examination by a Stranger And More... What You Will Need: Flat Collar or Harness Lead (non-retractable, no slip leads) Selection of Dogs' Favourite Treats (moist treats like sausages are best) Dogs' Favourite Toy Dog Bowl & Water Poo bags Mat/Bed (for your dog to settle on) *Perfect Fit Harnesses, Training Leads, Toys and Treats available to purchase at training venue* How classes will be running: >Please bring your own water and bowl. >Only dogs registered in the class may attend. >One handler per dog. >You must keep your dog on lead at all times within the grounds. >Dogs to be walked on lead at designated dog walking area only. >Please clean up after your dog and take poo bags with you or in the bins provided. >If your dog barks or lunges at other dogs or people please get in touch to discuss 1-2-1 training with our dogs to help prepare them for the class environment.
