Service Description

The KC Good Citizen Class runs The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (KCGCD). This Class is for those wishing to work towards the KC Good Citizen Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. It is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts that aim to provide handlers with a good knowledge and understanding of training their canine companion. Participants will need to have completed Puppy Training, Basic Training or 121 Training Sessions. The course will cover: Play & Engagement Sit/Stays Control Amongst Other Dogs Road Walking Recall Away From Distractions Food Manners Handling and Health Inspection Send To Bed And More... What You Will Need: Flat Collar or Harness Lead (non-retractable, no slip leads) Selection of Dogs' Favourite Treats (moist treats like sausages are best) Dogs' Favourite Toy Dog Bowl & Water Poo bags Mat/Bed (for your dog to settle on) *Perfect Fit Harnesses, Training Leads, Toys and Treats available to purchase at training venue* How classes will be running: >Please bring your own water and bowl. >Only dogs registered in the class may attend. >One handler per dog. >You must keep your dog on lead at all times within the grounds. >Dogs to be walked on lead at designated dog walking area only. >Please clean up after your dog and take poo bags with you or in the bins provided. >If your dog barks or lunges at other dogs or people please get in touch to discuss 1-2-1 training with our dogs to help prepare them for the class environment.
