Introduction to UK Dog Sports All Day Workshop with Dean Woodcock UK Dog Sports (UKDS) is a new alternative to Working Trials. It is not a substitute but a stand-alone competitive sport that encompasses many of the tests and exercises from other activities. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners through to those who have competed. With elements of Control, Nosework and Agility, the aim is to provide an interesting, challenging and enjoyable pastime suitable for all dogs and handlers. UKDS can run alongside working trials or act as a stepping stone into working trials. About Dean Woodcock Dean Woodcock has been a trainer for 27 years and has worked a variety of breeds in Working Trials. He has qualified at every level including making his dog into a Working Trials Champion. His retired Kelpie holds the record for the highest placed Kelpie in Working Trials. His new Kelpie has already qualified CDex, UDex and WDex. This workshop will be hosted by ClickStart Dog Training at United Counties Showground, Carmarthen. Please feel free to bring some lunch with you. Cafe and food van close by. Toilet facilities on site. What You Will Need: Flat Collar or Harness Lead (non-retractable, no slip leads) Selection of Dogs' Favourite Treats (4 times as many as you think your dog will need and moist treats like sausages are best!) Clicker (optional) Dogs' Favourite Toy Dog Bowl & Water Poo bags Mat/Bed How classes will be running: >Please bring your own water and bowl. >You must keep your dog on lead at all times. >You can walk your dog in the allocated dog walking area only. >If your dog barks or lunges at other dogs or people please get in touch to discuss 1-2-1 training with our dogs to help prepare them for the class environment.
