CHUK Hoopers Class Foundation Level 6 - Week Course Hoopers Foundation Course Hoopers is a fun and inclusive dog sport that’s perfect for dogs and owners of all ages and fitness levels. This low-impact sport is gentle on joints, making it ideal for puppies, senior dogs, and even reactive or anxious dogs. In Hoopers, dogs navigate a flowing course of hoops, barrels, and tunnels, offering the same pace and excitement as agility, but without the tight turns. This makes it accessible and enjoyable for everyone involved. The sport emphasizes smooth teamwork between dog and handler, making it a fantastic bonding activity. Course Benefits Inclusive for All Dogs: Suitable for puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. Low-Impact Exercise: Kind to joints and perfect for dogs of any fitness level. Great for Anxious Dogs: Helps build confidence and focus. Strengthens Bond: Enhances teamwork and communication between you and your dog. This class is also ideal for puppies as they’ll learn to stay with their handler off lead, along with basic training skills like sit, down, stay, and recall. What You Will Need: Flat Collar Lead: Non-retractable, no slip leads Selection of Favourite Treats: Dried treats that don’t crumble Favourite Toy Dog Bowl & Water Poo Bags Class Guidelines: Off-Lead Work: Dogs will be working off lead. If your dog tends to greet other dogs or is shy around other dogs, please contact us. Bring Your Own Water: Please bring your own water and bowl. Attendance: Only dogs registered in the class may attend. Leash Requirements: Keep your dog on lead at all times within the grounds. Designated Walking Area: Walk dogs on lead only in the designated area. Clean Up: Please clean up after your dog and take poo bags home with you. Behavioural Concerns: If your dog barks or lunges at other dogs or people, please contact us to discuss 1-2-1 training to prepare them for the class environment.
